Born into a family of musicians, Sadhana Sargam is a singer with a career spanning decades who started singing when she was just 4-years-old. She performed the song Sooraj Ek Chanda Ek Taare Anek at the age of 6 for Doordarshan.

Making her playback debut with the Gujarati film Kanku Pagli, her entry into Bollywood was marked by the song Saat Saheliyan for Vidhaata (1982), as her first film, Rustom, was delayed and released only in 1985.

While she had performed a number of songs since her debut, it was the song \”Har Kisiko Nahin Milta\” from \”Janbaaz\” (1986) that got her noticed in the industry.

She holds the record for being the first non-South Indian to have won the National Award for a South Indian song. She has crooned over 15,000 songs in 34 Indian languages and is one of the most revered artists in the industry.
