Biography
Hijo de madre Sij y padre Hind, el médico y poeta en hindi y Urdu, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, que cambió su apellido de Srivastava a Bachchan.
Amitabh studied at the male-only Institute of Prayagraj and, afterward, studied arts at the Sherwood College in Nainital. Más tarde se licenció en ciencias en la universidad de Delhi.
